1. Acceptance and Scope
Welcome to RideVox. These Terms apply to the RideVox app, website, servers, voice collaboration, team location, ride planning, ride sharing, subscriptions, and related support services.
By registering, signing in, creating or joining a ride, using live map, push-to-talk, quick notifications, diagnostic logs, or any other feature, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, do not use RideVox. RideVox may update these Terms for legal, product, or operational reasons and will provide notice of material changes through the app, website, or other reasonable means.
2. Account Eligibility and Management
You must provide true, accurate, complete, and current registration information, including your phone number, email address, display name, avatar, region, language preference, or other required details.
RideVox is generally not intended for children under 13. If you have not reached the age of majority under local law, you should use RideVox only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian.
You are responsible for protecting verification codes, passwords, signed-in devices, and account access, and for activities under your account. If you use RideVox on behalf of a team, club, company, or other organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that organization.
In the current iOS and Android apps, you can request deletion through Settings > Account Management > Delete Account.
3. Acceptable Use and Restrictions
You must comply with applicable laws, traffic rules, cycling safety practices, and RideVox feature rules.
You may not use the service for unlawful, infringing, fraudulent, harassing, unsafe, or harmful activities; impersonate others; publish misleading information; upload content you do not have rights to use; or bypass access controls.
You may not copy, reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, bulk harvest, resell, rent, interfere with, attack, circumvent security for, or otherwise abuse RideVox APIs, service systems, real-time voice services, maps, notifications, or diagnostic systems without authorization.
4. Cycling Safety and Service Limits
RideVox is a professional road cycling planning, sharing, and real-time collaboration tool. It is not an emergency service, alarm service, mandatory navigation system, or safety guarantee.
Live map, voice announcements, teammate front/back relationships, distance estimates, quick notifications, GPX routes, check-in status, and ride server status may be affected by GPS, network, device, battery, permissions, weather, road conditions, and third-party services.
When riding, prioritize road safety and do not operate your phone in unsafe situations. You remain responsible for route, speed, formation, resupply, withdrawal, and other riding decisions.
5. Intellectual Property and User Content
RideVox and its software, interfaces, names, marks, documentation, designs, code, data models, service architecture, and related content are owned by RideVox or the applicable rights holders.
You keep rights to content you upload or create, such as avatars, display names, ride titles, ride descriptions, GPX routes, notices, quick notifications, feedback descriptions, and diagnostic notes. You confirm you have the necessary rights and grant RideVox a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, transmit, display, process, maintain, protect, improve, and provide the service as needed.
RideVox may use suggestions, feedback, or issue descriptions you submit to improve products and services without compensation to you.
6. Subscriptions, Payments, and Service Quotas
RideVox may offer free features, subscriptions, officially certified devices, ride server resources, voice collaboration capacity, or other paid services.
Purchases made through Apple App Store or another channel are subject to that platform's payment, renewal, cancellation, and refund rules. You may not use technical means to bypass subscriptions, quotas, member limits, server selection, or other access controls.
Deleting your RideVox account does not cancel, refund, or stop any subscription purchased through Apple App Store, Google Play, or another third-party store. You must separately manage or cancel the subscription through the store where it was purchased.
Because payment platforms, network, server synchronization, and account state can be delayed, app display and server records may take a short time to synchronize. RideVox server records and lawful payment platform records control where applicable.
7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RideVox is provided as is and as available, without warranties that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, absolutely accurate, completely secure, fit for your particular purpose, or certain to meet your riding expectations.
RideVox is not responsible for third-party services, carriers, map services, real-time voice services, notification services, device systems, Bluetooth buttons, headsets, bicycles, roads, or other people's conduct.
To the extent permitted by law, RideVox is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages. These limits do not exclude non-waivable consumer rights, personal injury liability, or liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence where law does not allow exclusion.
8. Suspension, Limits, and Termination
If you violate these Terms, applicable laws, platform rules, or may harm RideVox, other users, or the public interest, RideVox may remove content, limit features, suspend your account, terminate service, refuse future registration, preserve evidence, or report to competent authorities as permitted by law.
You may stop using RideVox at any time and may request account deletion through the in-app account deletion entry. Before deletion, you must manually end, cancel, or leave any ride that is not in a final state.
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Registering again with the same phone number, email address, or device does not restore the deleted account, ride history, or relationships.
Deletion removes authentication credentials, sessions, push registrations, profile and relationship data, check-in records, personal GPS tracks, and diagnostic logs you actively uploaded. Shared GPX route files and route coordinates may remain available for the ride, but their association with your author identity is removed.
Shared historical records in ended or cancelled rides may remain available to other members, with the deleted member shown as “Deleted User.” The deleted member's profile, personal GPS tracks, and location playback are not shown.
RideVox may retain the minimum device trial-claim record, current-period quota record, app-store transaction record, and deletion tombstone needed to prevent abuse, reconcile purchases, maintain security, or meet legal obligations. These retained records do not restore the deleted account or its history.
RideVox may also suspend, change, or discontinue parts of the service for maintenance, security, compliance, business changes, or force majeure, with advance or timely notice where reasonably practicable.
9. Governing Law, Disputes, and Contact
These Terms will be interpreted and applied together with mandatory consumer protection, data protection, and platform service laws that apply where you live.
If a dispute arises, both sides should first try to resolve it amicably, unless law requires otherwise.
For questions about these Terms, accounts, subscriptions, service limits, or rights requests, contact [email protected].
